    Courses Taught
7th Grade Math:  In 7th Grade Mathematics students will focus on developing understanding of and applying proportional relationships; developing understanding of operations with rational numbers and working with expressions and linear equations; solving problems involving scale drawings and informal geometric constructions, and working with two and three dimensional shapes to solve problems involving area, surface area, and volume; and drawing inferences about populations based on samples.
8th Grade Math:  This course is a traditional eighth grade math course, enriched with selected ninth grade topics.  Students will be challenged with integrated topics in Algebra and Geometry, and at the same time, will have an opportunity to reinforce skills covered in previous math courses.
8th Grade Algebra 1:  Algebra I provides a development of the algebraic skills and concepts necessary for students to succeed in advanced courses.  The concept of function is emphasized throughout the course.  Topics include:  operations with real numbers,  linear equations and inequalities, relations and functions, polynomials, algebraic fractions, and nonlinear equations.  This is a high school credit that counts towards graduation.
