  • Leader in Me Parent Survey

Posted by CHS Web Director at 9/19/2017
    Dear Elementary Parents,

This year Carey Elementary is beginning a new initiative to help build leadership skills for our students. It is part of our college and career emphasis.
As part of this initiative we invite all of you to participate in a survey to give us information about our learning environment here at Carey Elementary. Your voice is important to us and we would like to know your thoughts about what we are doing well, where we can improve, and what skills you feel are essential for your children to learn during their time here. After this initial survey, we will conduct an annual survey every May so that we can track our success and continue to progress in our learning goals.

Posted by Nick Rider at 9/6/2017

FINALLY!! IT’S HERE!! What many people have been begging me for…ALUMNI
CHEER NIGHT!! We are ready to bring back Alumni Cheerleading this fall. Anyone
who has graduated and previously cheered at CHS is welcome to join in on a fun
night of football, cheer, and memories.

    cheer

The Alumni game will take place the same night as Alumni band. This will be Friday
October 6 th . We will meet at the school at 6:00 for those wanting to march over to
the field with the band like the good old days. For those who do not want to march
you may meet at the field whenever is convenient for you. Any Alumni cheerleader
may join the current CHS cheerleaders on the sideline during the first and/or
second quarter of the game to do any chants or sideline dances. You may then
enjoy the half time show on the sidelines. Before our band plays the fight song at
the end of their performance we will invite all alumni cheerleaders out to perform
their version of the fight song. Also at the end of the game you are invited to join
the current CHS cheerleaders in singing the Carey High School Alma Mater.

Leading up to the game we will have 3 Sunday night practices from 5:30-7:30 pm.
These practices will take place on the following dates: September 17 th , September
24 th , and October 1 st (PENDING APPROVAL). All of these practices are not
mandatory but it is suggested to attend at least one. This will allow us to review
any old chants, dances, and cadences. If you have a list of any of these items
please email them to me so I can compile all of them into one copy to hand out on
    our practice nights.

The cost is $25.00 which will included instruction, t-shirt with graduation year,
camaraderie with fellow teammates, and guaranteed fun and memories. Come relive
your days as a CHS Cheerleader!!!

If you are participating please fill out the completed form and mail it to Carey
Exempted Village Schools Attn: Brittany Baldridge 2016 Blue Devil Dr. Carey, OH
43316 with a check made payable to Carey Athletic Boosters. ***In the memo
please put Alumni Cheer. If you have any questions please email myself or call the
school and leave a message. I will try and get back to you as soon as I can.

We can’t wait to see you for a fun night of Cheer!

Sincerely, Brittany Baldridge and the 2017 CHS Varsity Football Cheerleaders
